Royce Sucks Customer Reviews and Feedback

From Everything.Sucks

Royce' Confect Co., Ltd. Also known as E-Royce', is a Japanese chocolate manufacturing company. The company's central offices are located in Sapporo, Japan.

An angry buyer of the very expensive Royce chocolates said in a review "They are always out of stock on nama chocolates which is supposed to be their primary product. By always I literally mean at least 7 times in a month. Also the service of Royce is unacceptable as they promise to have it in stock on phone and if you walk in after asking (they don't book on phone) they say it is always out of stock."

Forklift Operator (Former Employee) says

"It was a nice work place nice people stay busy time flew by I learn how to drive a forklift load trucks wrapin skid it wasn't really nothing hard about the job the most enjoy part was free breakfast in the morning and leaving early on fridays. Cons: health care and no raise"

General Labourer (Current Employee) says

"It was a really slow job where I wasn't given much opportunity for advancements. I learned how to operate some basic machinery."

Former Employee - Project Manager says

"I worked at Rolls-Royce full-time for more than a year Cons: Toxic culture. Employees where constantly blamed for shortcomings, nepotism of hiring unqualified family members with no background/experience in field and constant cuts and restructuring. Constant target on backs from upper management trying to find any and every small trivial incident to penalize employees. Working 60+hr weeks and never received any acknowledgment."

Current Employee - Senior Manufacturing Engineer says

"I have been working at Rolls-Royce full-time for more than 10 years Cons: Machiavellian management. Discrimination against male employees. Good managers never get promoted, those that have ethics issues skyrocket to the top, or even get brought back after they leave..."

Current Employee - Turbine Design says

"I have been working at Rolls-Royce full-time for more than 10 years Cons: A shrinking footprint in the turbo machinery industry. One only has to look at the physical size of the facilities to see this. Our future really depends on being lucky enough to win one good sized project. If I were new to this company, I would take everything I could from it, and be prepared to make an early exit. This division has been driven into the ground by the current managers who destroyed Libertyworks and then thought they were smart enough to run the division. They are unable to read the writing on the wall."

Current Employee - Engineering Technical SME says

"I have been working at Rolls-Royce full-time for more than 10 years Cons: No prosperity or future plans"

says

"I worked at Rolls-Royce Cons: Buyers are overworked - No help, no MRPC while every other buyer had an MRPC and outside support. Manager was absent, never in the office or available. I Was threaten with my job, threatened with being fired for not meeting unrealistic metrics - which is based on what they believe can be done but not what is physical possible. Sr support will lie to save themselves. Managers will lie to save themselves - HR will fail to protect you or believe you. I was warned when I transferred in - “if they want you gone they will make your work life miserable” if you rock the boat they will find a way to get rid of you”"

Former Employee - Technical Test Lead says

"I worked at Rolls-Royce full-time for more than 3 years Cons: Lack of leadership. Too many people don't know their job and work piles up on the people that do know what they are doing. Lots of back biting among coworkers. If you do know what your doing then the others complain to management about you. Others take credit for the work that you do. Too much jealousy (people thinking your going to get promoted or ahead cause problems). Huge Rumor Mill! Hostile work environment all the way around! Save yourself the headache and look elsewhere. This wont be the job you think it is...."

Current Employee - Finance Manager says

"I have been working at Rolls-Royce full-time for more than 3 years Cons: Extreme stress level with little to no support from management"

Former Employee - Repair Engineer says

"I worked at Rolls-Royce full-time for more than a year Cons: The average age of an engineer is 50 plus, no new tech or innovation. Not welcoming of new employees and will not train even when it is asked for."

Current Employee - Supplier Quality says

"I have been working at Rolls-Royce full-time for more than 5 years Cons: Still the good ole boys club."

Former Employee - Senior Engineer says

"I worked at Rolls-Royce full-time for more than 5 years Cons: It is unfortunate that the management of the Indianapolis site is so frightened and disingenuous that they have managed remove multiple negative Glassdoor reviews. It seems a negative review will appear, and then a few weeks later it goes away. They clearly are not able to understand that much of their workforce is dissatisfied with their performance and are trying to speak out. The proof is in the data; simply look at the shrinking workforce and manufacturing output. The Indianapolis management is reads these reviews, becomes frightened, and rather than addressing the problems, they are burying these reviews and their heads in the sand."
